Boy Scouts of America

Harry Bovay was a lifelong scout and recognized the importance of nurturing strong moral character and leadership in today’s youth. The Bovay Foundation has ongoing relationships with The Bovay Scout Ranch and Philmont Scout Ranch, both part of the Boy Scouts of America youth organization. Bovay Scout Ranch is comprised of 1,498 acres located near Navasota, Texas.

Philmont is the Boy Scouts of America’s largest National High Adventure Base, a center for high adventure and training.  The ranch covers 140,177 acres of rugged mountain wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains in northeastern New Mexico.

Additional commitments have been made to specific scouting entities in the communities served by the Foundation. Current and future gifts are by invitation only.
